I'm back frm my Bangkok tour! Miss da fresh air here. It's so polluted in Bangkok lah!

6th March:
Went to Changi Airport at 8+. Our flight was at 22:30. We cld only gt our boardin pass at 20:30, 2 hrs b4 da flight. So wae waited till 20:30 to gt our passes n went in to walk ard da shops. Nutting much lah actually. Den we heard da announcement sayin our flight was delayed till 23:20. Gosh! More waitin! Argh. But it was ok lah. I called my bf at 10+ b4 boardin da plane. I din noe dat it's free seatin. Haha... 1st time takin budget airline plane. We reached Don Muang Airport at 02:30 Singapore time n 01:30 Bangkok time. Da driver waited 4 almost 3 hrs coz i told them my flight wld reach at 2300. Erm well it's nt my fault rite since da flight was delayed. We went to bad upon reachin da hotel at Chinatown since it was late le. I cldn't really slp coz i was nt tired n i can't slp in da new environment. I nid time to adapt.

7th March:
We woke up at ard 7+ to eat breakfast at da hotel. Our package cmes wif free buffet breakfast. Da food there is nice. Western n Eastern style. Most of da ppl stayin in our hotel r Ang Mos. Wonder where all da chinese ppl go. Our 1st destination was da Erawan Shrine (aka da 4-faced buddha) coz my ma heard it's v.ling2 there. Den we went to da Thai Export Center as recommended by dis doc who saw us lookin at da map n asked us where we wanted to go. He oso told us dat Siam Paragon is like Singapore's Orchard Rd n it's nt worth it to go there coz da things there r ex. Hmm... My mum bot a red ruby ring there 4 abt S$400+. Heard it's cheap to buy gems in Bangkok as they exports to other countries. Den we went to da MBK center which looks abit like Far East in Singapore. Things there r nt really cheap so we din buy much. We settled our lunch there. Had jap ramen at ard 240 baht in total for da 3 of us. Cheap! I bot a pair of shoes there though n we bot another pair 4 my sis 4 abt S$8. I bot a belt too 4 abt S$8 as well. Cheap cheap lah. We asked da salesperson at da shoe shop where da street markets r. He recommended us to go Pratunam Market n so we proceeded there. Pratunam Market is juz outside City Complex, where da wholesalers r. Everything there is cheap but cannot try coz ppl go there to buy da stuffs n sell de. I bot 3 tees at 50baht each, 2 shirts at 190 baht each, 1 pair of pants at 190 baht inside City Complex. Da shops there close so early lor. They started packin up at ard 6+. If u go to da shops/shoppin malls late, u'll miss all da gd stuffs. We den went outside to da Pratunam Market n i bot 2 pairs of shorts there. Tink 2 for 100 baht. Cheap cheap! After buyin so many things n walkin so much, we finally settled down 4 dinner at The Platinum Fashion Mall at ard 6+. Had sharks fin soup, birds nest, fish maw soup n tim sum 4 a total of abt 800 baht. Da sharks fin soup is real lah but da birds nest is nt. Disappointed. Haha... We den went back to our hotel b4 proceedin on to walk ard Chinatown market. It's so diff to gt taxi at dat kinda time lah. Traffic jam everywhere, taxis dun wanna take us to Chinatown area or taxi drivers r goin hme. Argh. They haf no life de leh. Only those nite markets will be open after 7. All shoppin malls close at 8. Argh. No fun. After puttin our newly bot stuffs down n rested 4 awhile, we went to da Chinatown street market to take a look. Most stalls sell food lah. We dun really dare to eat those coz abit unhygienic. Scared eat liao will ls. Haha... We went back to da hotel after walkin 1 round at ad 10+. It was a tirin but fruitful day. Walk until my legs really cannot make it. N i thot i was a shoppin queen who can walk all i wan. Bleh. Packed abit of da stuffs we bot at our rm while we took turns to bathe. I tink we din take tuk tuk car on da 1st day ba so it's nt dat bad. Only sweaty like duno wat coz da weather is really hot. 34 deg i tink. I slipped out of da hotel rm to gt internet access downstairs at da lobby after i bathed. My parents were fast aslp by den. Tink dat was ard 12 midnite. I paid 100 baht to go online 4 half hr n tok to my bf 4 awhile while i checked my stuffs. I cldn't settle my hotel stuffs back at hme on 6th morning/noon coz da New Empire Hotel dat i previously bked said there wasn't any reservation made under my name when i called to cancel. Den i emailed da internet bkin company abt it n they only replied when i checked my email at da lobby. I duno wat to do abt da bkin at New Empire Hotel so i juz heck care liao coz if i din show up there, they will automatically charge da 1st nite to my account, which is like ard S$30. Anything lah. Den i checked which terminal we were suppose to go when we leave 4 Singapore n at which counter to gt our boardin passes. I went back to hotel ar 00:30 n went to slp. I was so tired dat i cld slp oledi. Haha... in fact, i din haf enuff slp!

8th March:
We woke up at 7+ n had breakfast like da day b4. Set off to Wat Arun (aka Temple of Dawn). We din really noe how to gt there so we asked da ppl at da lobby n they dun really understand wat we were tryin to say lah. We wanted to go c da Phra Buddha Yodfa Bridge b4 crossin da Chao Praya River to da temple. had abit of miscommunication n we finally went out to gt a taxi to drive us to da bridge on our own. We were abit lost on how to cross da river after dat. Spent abt 10 mins walkin n askin n finally went back to da Memmorial Bridge Pier to wait 4 da boat. Wat Arun is really big. We paid to change n took a few pics like a thai. Haha... We bot leather shoes at da market there. We can gt these shoes in Singapore too but it's alot more ex here. I bot da shoe 4 200 baht only. My mum bot 2 for herself n 2 for my 2 sis. My dad bot 1 too. Haha... Den we bot clothes 4 my niece n nephew n a few bags (hp pouch, sling bags, coin pouchs etc). We took da boat back n wanted to go over to da Wat Phra Kaew where da Emerald Buddha is. But a kind soul told us dat da temple was closed 4 da day as it was buddha's holiday. Haha... So we changed our plan n went over to Wat Ratchabophit via tuk tuk as recommended by da kind soul. He told us dat temple only opens to public on every wed. We were lucky enuff to be juz in time to go there n pray. Haha... We met yet another kind soul at da temple. He said he's workin at da tourist bureau n recommended us to go to The Prasiam (duno how to spell) where they sell gemstones too. We bot yet another red ruby, but dis time round we bot juz da stone, which means we can design on our own to c wat we wan, like a ring or pendant. We den went to a nearby restaurant to haf our lunch. Food there was nice n cheap. Had prawns, softshell crabs, veg n fish. We went back to our hotel after dat to rest n put our things. We decided to go back to City Complex to buy pants 4 my 2 sis n shorts 4 my ma. I bot another pair of pants too since da cuttingis nice (i went back to hotel n try) coz i nid to wear pants during my clinicals too. We cldn't gt taxi back to our hotel so we bobian took tuk tuk back 4 100baht! We paid 80 baht during noon 4 taxi frm hotel to City Complex lor! Argh. Da tuk tuk driver wanted 150 baht initially. I insist dat 150 was way too ex n we cld juz wait 4 taxi coz it's more comfy n cheaper. Den da driver gave way n accepted 100 baht. Tink we took tuk tuk a few times today. Face super dirty, hair super dirty n messy n knotty n nose super dirty. Tink lungs nid to clean up abit too. Argh. We had too much in da noon n we had dinner late as well. We went to Chinatown to eat real 3rd grade bird nest for 300 baht person. Yummy! Den we went to dis street hawker sellin seafood to eat coz it seemed like dat was da only 1 wif super many ppl eatin de. Food was really nice but da crab looked abit dirty. Nv wash de lor. Still can c soil on da pincers man. Eeee. I was still feelin full den so i nv really eat. I only had prawns coz da prawns r super big n super juicy n super sweet! V.nice! I nv really like to suck da heads of small prawns coz i tink it's abit bitter. But dis 1 is really sweet n nice! Da flesh is fat too! Yummy! We ordered another plate of prawns coz nt enuff. Only 5 per plate for abt 200+ baht. Da hawker calculated wrongly in da end n we paid less n ate more! Haha... It's yet another fruitful day. We went to buy pork floss n cuttlefish as well. Bot many packs to distribute to frens. We den went back to da hotel n took turns to bathe n slp. I packed everything dat we bot coz can't stand da way my ma pack. Haha... I'm more organised lah. Can save more space too. Bleh. =P I tink i went to bed at 12+ again. I slept like a log.

9th March:
We woke up earlier today coz we only haf a few hrs b4 goin to da airport. My parents woke up at 5+ n i woke up at ard 6. Cldn't really gt out of bed coz it was really tirin. We went 4 breakfast as usual n set off to Wat Phra Kaew as we din haf da chance to do so y'day. Da temple is so big!! V.nice! Da Golden Buddha there is so shiny dat da pic turned out to be abit blur after takin so many times. We saw Slpin Buddha too. It's so big lah! Da feet alone can kill many ppl if da Buddha steps on us. Haha... Took a video to show how big it is. Can't fit into da camera 4 pic. Da face alone den can fit lah. We den proceeded on back to our hotel n to Chinatown again. We din c da shops there coz all were closed by da time we go there 4 da past 2 days. There r rmany more shops to explore n we bot more stuffs there. I can't believe we bot clocks back. I found a little twin star clock n fell in love wif it. I bot da v.1st clock. Den my ma bot 2 clocks 4 my sis. We bot games 4 da children too. All these r like so cheap lah! Few singapore bucks only. We went to da shoppin mall there to eat tim sum n steamboat at a chinese restaurant. Everything seems so cheap there. Haha... Den i received a sms frm Thai AirAsia dat says our flight was delayed frm 16:45 to 18:20. We had more time to shop ard n wanted to go over to Siam Center to buy Hard Rock Cafe clothes but we concluded dat we wun be in time coz we it might be diff to gt taxi back frm da shoppin mall n there might be traffic jam on da way to airport. So we set off early 4 da airport at 15:30. We reached da airport at ard 16:00 n thot we had alot of time. We went to gt da boardin passes 1st n walked ard. We spent sum time lookin at da airplanes frm da viewin place n went to haf dinner at ard 18:00. I haf no idea y we took 45 mins to eat n we rushed like mad to catch da plane. Paid da tax n went in to da gate. Porky saw me at da passport control area n we had a little chat while queuein. Our flights were like less den 1 hr in diff. Haha... But tink they went in early to shop ard lah. I slept on da plane most of da time n was almost freezed to death coz i 4gt to take out my sweater frm my luggage. Argh. 4gt to take MP3 player too. Argh. Sigh. We landed at ard 21:30 n created commotion at Changi Airport again coz we duno we can only buy things frm downstairs. Luckily we haven buy yet. So we went downstairs n bot da stuffs n went out to mit my sis who came to fetch us. They refused to cme in to da pickup point n insisted 4 us to go up to da taxi area. Den we went up n din c them. My ma n i were so angry lor. We had luggages to push n u noe da car can travel mch faster den human walkin rite?! Argh. Finally we met up at da pickup point (yes we went back all da way to da pickup point again) like fools walkin in circles. Man! Sigh. We reached hme at ard 11+ n started unpackin da stuffs. I slept at ard 3+ coz there were so many things to pack. I did a mask as well coz my face cannot make it liao frm all da polluted air n sun. I spotted more freckles on da face! Argh. Tink i'm abit darker now after all da walkin under da sun. Argh.

I slept till noon 4+ (more den 12hrs haha) n i still fell slpy. I nid to replenish back my slp. Gosh. Tink i'm fallin sick too. Argh. oh nid to check results too. Cldn't check last nite n dis noon. Wonder whether it's up now liao nt. Sigh. Had 2 fone calls frm Singapore on tues n wed. Din dare to pick up coz duno who dat was. I was so scared dat it's my teacher lah! Dat will mean i nid to take sub paper! Gosh! God bless!
