I was browsin thru da websites of banks in Sg to make comparison 4 da interest rates they offer n da types of bank accounts I can open. I want to open a new account so dat i can save up da money to pay 4 my sch fees. But dis will oso mean dat i nid to withdraw when it's time to pay up during each sem, which i haf only 2 sems left. Haha... All da accounts dat i can open r wif interest rates of 0.25%pa. But Maybank caught my attention wif their newly revised rates on their SaveUp Account. There's only dis min amt of $500 dat u nid to maintain in da account which is da same as da rest of da banks lah else they'll start deductin $2 frm ur account every mth. There's no min amt dat u nid to bank in each mth or watsoeva. N da interest rate is double of da normal savings accounts, which is 0.5%. Hmm but actually how much diff will dat make rite? Say u haf $1000 in ur account. 0.25% is equivalent to $2.50 n 0.5% is equivalent to $5. Eh dat's quite miserable lah. Haha... But obviously u will choose $5 over $2.50 rite? There's another type of account offered by POSB Bank. It's da Save-As-You-Earn (SAYE) Account. It's gt no min amt 4 inital deposit n da fixed monthly contribution amt is at least S$20 n are deducted frm ur designated account. But dis will haf to continue 4 at least 2 yrs n if u withdraw any amt frm dis account anytime within da 2 yrs, da account is considered closed n u'll lose all interest dat u've earned. Interest is 10% 4 da 1st yr n 20% 4 da 2nd yr. But i guess it's nt suitable 4 me since i can't withdraw to pay my sch fees although da interest rate is v.allurin. Guess i'll haf to go n ask abt dat Maybank SaveUp account instead. 1 thing bad abt it is dat there aren't many outlets near my hse n it's diff to locate their atms. Hmm bt den again i wun be usin it like my normal account 4 payin stuffs n such so i tink it'll be ok ba.

HP ppl finally called me last evening but only to say dat they r gonna deliver on next wed coz some parts r still nt shipped to them yet. They'll only gt everything on dis fri n da earliest they can deliver is next wed. Argh. Sigh. I'm so upset abt dis lah. Dat means i only haf 1 wk to dabble wif my new com b4 da sch starts! Argh.

Yeah gonna celebrate dear's bday tml le. Ok to be exact it's TODAY! Haha... His presents r all wrapped up, only left wif da DIY card coz i haf yet to tink of any nice designs although i've oledi noe wat to write inside. Can't wait to gif him da pressies! Hee...
