4th day at MAH is quite interestin. We watched how da barium enema n barium meal is performed on da patient. Barium enema is to put a cathether in frm da anus to inject barium contrast in n air in frm another tubin. It's interestin to c da shape of da big n small intestine n how da barium coats da intestine n shifts frm 1 side to da other when we move da patient. Air is lighter hence we can c da certain parts of da intestine to determine whether there r any abnormalities. Dis is done by da fluoroscope which gives out high radiation dose. X-ray is oso done after dat to gif an overall view of da whole intestine, whereas fluoroscope can gif views of specific areas.

5th day at MAH is oso quite fruitful coz we saw da MCU (Micturiting cysto-urogram), which is to insert a cathether in n fill da bladder up n to observe any abnormalities when da patient pass da fluid out. Dis is oso done wif a fluoroscope. Da patient we saw was a baby boy. He cried thruout da whole process. It's quite painful lah since a tube muz be inserted in frm his erm, u noe where. He cried until he vomitted his breakfast out. It was so disgustin n smelly lor. Wah lao. Almost vomitted myself. After dis MCU, i managed to expose an old lady who is 90 yrs old dis yr. Saw her few days ago in da MRI centre. She's da 1 who reminded me of my gdma. It was quite a challenge coz i've nt learnt how to handle patients on trolley n patients who can't take our instructions to breathe in n hold 4 chest x-ray. Da radiographer was da senior n she trusted me to do it myself. She told me to set da exposure at 75kVp n 10mAs den she left da rm wif me n Ervin n told me to watch 4 her breathing. So i observed n quickly exposed her when her chest expanded. Da x-ray was quite ok. Heng ar. Haha... I oso positioned a patient 4 a wrist x-ray in da noon too. I tink i'm ready to gt a case 4 my competency report 4 chest x-ray n wrist x-ray. I tink hand n finger too. Nt really ready 4 shoulder n humerus 1. Elbow tink muz practce n oberve more ba. Will try to gt as many competency cases done asap.

Finally able to rest fully last nite. Finally no nid to wake up so early! Yeah. Happy. 1st wk of clinicals is done! 3 more wks to holidays! Yeah. Haha... Can't wait 4 holidays to cme man.

I can't believe Junyang is out. Oh man. Wat competition is dis? Sigh. Kinda miss Derrick's performance n Junyang's too. I tink Kelly deserves to be in lah although Xinhui has strong vocals too. But I feel Xinhui is abit fake lah. N her dressin cannot make it lor. Always dress until so ugly. Kelly is v.nice. Tink she suits to be an artiste. As 4 Weilian, although i pity him, but i feel his voice sounds v.old n his voice doesn't suit alot of songs. Junyang is so much beta lor. Sigh. Heard rumours day Kelly's supporters went to support Weilian coz Junyang is a threat to Kelly. Den when Weilian n Kelly gts into final round, they will vote 4 Kelly n make Weilian lose. Makes sense to me. I sincerely hope Kelly will be in man. Sigh. So sad 4 Junyang. His voice is gd n he has da power lah. He's cute too. Heh. Heard he's wif Candyce. I tink they make a gd match. Rumours abt Silver wif Hagen n another guy. So many rumours in juz 1 competition. Haha...
