Wa, now den i noe there r so many things to prepare b4 sch starts in NUS. Nid to go 4 medical examination, go 4 matriculation, apply tertiary EZ link card, select core modules (faculty modules) n elective modules (GEM, SS n Breadth), bid 4 core modules den bid 4 elective modules. So much work to do. It's oledi so much to digest on info abt how da whole biddin system works n how many modules to take. N da diff btw core n electives n wat we can or cannot take. N we oso nid to c whether da lecture n exam times clash anot 4 all da modules we wan to take in da same semester. Lots to plan sia. Dat's y my nick in MSN was "lost in U" (nt literary lost, but lost on wat to do) n now is "blur blur de". To tink i can actually lead my fren on wat she shld do. Haha... But i gt more info frm my senior who is superly patient on explainin those things to me although she's nt in my fac n she still nid to go n read up my fac webs b4 she can explain to me. Wa, so thankful towards her. If nt 4 her, i'll still be lost. So now i'm suppose to take 5 modules each semester, n dis semester i'm takin 3 cores n 2 electives. Gotten my 3 core modules juz y'day. Happy sia. Da 3 r Intro to Geo, Chinese Language n Econs. Tink i'll major in Econs or Geo, which will nid to be decided at end of semester 2. Now waitin 4 da result of electives, which da bid ends on 4th Aug. Biddin 4 modules is such a chore. Gotta wake up early to bid n muz bid alot to secure da place coz there r limited vacancies 4 each module. But we only haf limited pts to bid too. So scared can't gt da modules i wan. These pts will accumulate over da semesters, so we'll haf more n more pts over da semesters. Den we can bid those modules dat we wan but r hot. Sigh, can't imagine dis process will repeat every semester. Den after da modules r allocated to us, we still nid to decide on our tutorial time n ballot 4 it. If there r too few ppl ballotin 4 da tutorial class, den we'll nid to choose another 1. Sigh, but i've planned up da timetable assumin dat i can gt all da modules n tutorial times dat i wan n i only nid to go sch 4 days a wk. Earliest time to report will be 10am. Gd sia. Den i dun haf to wake up so early like in JC times. 4 u guys out there, u all will be goin thru da same things dat i went thru if u r in NUS. Heard dat NTU doesn't haf dis biddin stuff n they plan out da timetable 4 u. Erm, but dat means u can't plan ur own timetable n haf short days on sum days. N in my case, i dun haf to wake up as early. But they dun haf to worry abt nt havin enuff modules or can't gt da modules they wan. So each has its own gd n bad pts ba. But actually i'll prefer NTU lor. No wonder most of my frens r in NTU.
